Lemon tea cake (eggless)





Lemon tea cake..!!!! Yummmm...!!!! Combination of sweet and tangy flavour makes you finish this cake in one go.. Lemon tea cake is perfect treat for your tea time. It’s tangy flavour makes this cake unique in taste. If you are bored with vanilla and chocolate cake, then you need to try this lemon cake recipe. All Ingredients for this recipe are easily available in your kitchen. So let’s check the recipe of yummiest treat..!!! 






Ingredients:- 

1/2 cup - fresh and thick curd
1/2 cup - powdered sugar 
1 tsp - lemon zest 
1/4 cup - melted butter 
1 cup - maida (all purpose flour) 
1 tsp - baking powder 
1/2 tsp - baking soda 
1/3 cup - milk 
2 tbsp - lemon juice 
2-3 drop - yellow liquid colour (optional) 

Note- use green lemon for strong flavour. 

Procedure:- 

- In a bowl take 1/2 cup curd and add 1/2 cup powdered sugar and mix well. 
- Now take a lemon and collect it’s zest and add 1 tsp of lemon to it and mix well. 
- Add 1/3 cup melted butter to the mixture and mix everything well. 
- Add 1 cup maida (sieved) and 1 tsp baking powder and 1/2 tsp baking soda. And mix the batter.  
- Now add 1/3 cup milk ( room temperature) and mix the batter well. 
- Add 2-3 drops of yellow liquid food colour and mix everything well. 
- Grease the mould well with butter/ghee/unflavoured oil and maida. 
- Transfer the batter to the mould and put in preheated cooker for 30-40 mins at low flame. 
- After 40 mins check the cake with knife or toothpick. 
- Take the cake out of the cooker n let it cool by covering wet cloth. 
- Now clear the sides with knife and remove the cake from the mould. 
- Decorate the cake with powdered sugar. 

Lemon tea cake is ready to serve..!!!
